Who are we?
The Hero Project has been designing and implementing evidenced-based, prevention programming to diverse populations and small rural communities for over 15-years. Together with our partners, we have over 8 years of experience in emergency management , including developing operation plans, pre-disaster mitigation plans, conducting table top exercises, developing functional exercises and facilitating NIMS/ICS trainings.
What do we do?
We prepare communities for the psychological process of handling a disaster. Our experiential programs bring people together in a spirit of unity, compassion and resiliency. We train local citizens to facilitate events that empower a community to rise above a "Culture of Victimhood" and embrace heroic virtues of sacrifice, support and compassion.
